Sandra has been an integral part of Tree Shepherd since April 2018, bringing extensive experience in delivering socio-economic programs. With an extensive career in community regeneration and the housing sector, she focuses on programs that empower individuals and build economic well-being.

As the CEO of Tree Shepherd, Sandra leads the organisation in creating a world where everyone can actively participate in their local economy, working with diverse clients including the unemployed, low-income families, aspiring young entrepreneurs, and small independent businesses.

Under Sandra’s guidance, Tree Shepherd offers comprehensive enterprise training courses, workshops, and affordable workspaces, business mentoring programs, helping individuals refine their ideas and strategies. With market stalls and networking opportunities, Tree Shepherd fosters a supportive environment for growth.

Recognising the importance of effective engagement and networking, Tree Shepherd actively builds networks and forums for individuals and businesses to maximise their connections within and beyond their community. Tree Shepherd also extends its support to businesses impacted by regeneration projects, helping them navigate their way towards a future where they can achieve their business goals successfully. Tree Shepherd continues to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and businesses, empowering them to thrive within their local economies and build a brighter future.

Rhian Letang

Business Development Manager

Rhian joined Tree Shepherd in November 2018, as Business Development Executive and is responsible for providing business support to local start-ups, micro and small businesses affected by redevelopment for the Elephant & Castle and Peckham projects. Rhian is highly skilled in relationship building. She regularly engages with key stakeholders and prides herself on being able to support, problem solve and provide solutions within developing business communities.

Rhian’s previous experience comes from a background in Advertising, Sales, Account Management and Business Development. Most recently before joining Tree Shepherd Rhian had worked with 500+ small business owners via the Federation of Small Business where her role included identifying and understanding small business challenges and providing benefits and support services to accommodate their needs. As such she has a passion for working with small business owners because she believes they are the major drivers of the UK economy. Rhian has had roles in large organisations such as ITV and has also work with all major charities helping them to develop their telephones fundraising campaigns. Rhian also is passionate about health and well being and she is also currently the commercial director of a natural skincare and well being company.

Shaun Wilson

Administration Supervisor

Shaun joined in Jan 2019, as work space co-ordinator for our most recent venture, Thrive, which is our affordable co-work space, based in Surrey Quays. Shaun is currently working on ensuring our admin infrastructure is in place at Thrive. In August 2019, Shaun also took on the role as administration support to the Tree Shepherd team and in November 2020 became Tree Shepherd’s Business Systems Executive.

Shaun has over 20 years’ involvement with local community groups and charities and has held several positions including trustee of both, High Trees Community Development Trust and Friends of Windmill Gardens, the charity that runs Brixton Windmill. Shaun is experienced at managing projects from original conception to successful completion. which includes setting up and running a youth club and children’s club, helping to bring his local community centre back into use. Shaun also volunteered at Brixton windmill, managing the volunteer millers.

Magdalen Rubalcava

Glows Workspace Supervisor

Magdalen joined Glows in April 2018 as workshop co-ordinator. Magdalen has a degree in Fashion & Textiles, as well as another in Theatre design. Magdalen has worked all over the world and in the Theatre world, however, more recently works all over Lambeth as an installation artist, which includes the Sunflower butterfly garden and Alice in Wonderland in the Town Hall flowerbeds, in the final month before the Town Hall closed down for refurbishment. She has also been commissioned to make a 25 ft  Christmas Tree out of 500 smelly old work boots for Southwark recycling centre.

Magdalen liaises with the Glows members and introduces and promotes Glows and the  hot desk maker space.

She is also a founder member of friends of Windmill Gardens.

Dee Byrne

Marketing Co-ordinator

Dee joined Tree Shepherd in April 2021 to run Tree Shepherd’s marketing – looking after social media, print marketing, the website, PR and creating local connections to promote Tree Shepherd.

Dee has long career in PR and Marketing strategies and gaining media coverage for major organisations across a variety of industries from travel to hospitality and food, health and insurance. Dee has also worked voluntarily in the community as press officer and tutoring for Brixton Windmill and Makerhood.

Jan Ware

Jan Ware

Facilities Manager

Jan joined Tree Shepherd in January 2020 to manage our facilities specifically in THRIVE and GLOWS, ensuring health and safety is met, and the smooth running of our sites.

Jan has previously worked in various local charities in the West Norwood and Tulse Hill area and is a trustee of New Leaf, an educational charity supporting young offenders based in West Dulwich. She has also been involved in local community groups, helping with Norwood Forum and Friends of West Norwood Library.

Jamie-Lee Jones

Thrive Workspace Coordinator

Jamie-Lee joined Tree Shepherd in June 2021, as the workspace co-ordinator at Thrive, Surrey Quays. Jamie-Lee will be responsible for working with existing and new users of Thrive our mixed business workspace.

Jamie-Lee was made redundant in August 2020 from her admin / purchasing role in East London. To keep busy, she started her own small business selling handmade personalised children’s learning books on social media.

Jamie-Lee grew up in Rotherhithe, and studied at Greenwich university studying media arts production. Growing up in the area she knows the area really well and is passionate about bringing the local community together and help people achieve their goals.
