I never thought that something that started as research into natural products for my daughter’s skin condition would lead me to finding my passion and becoming a soap maker and handcrafter of natural vegan skincare. I specialise in cold process soap making which produces a mild bar of soap to moisturise skin. I like to use clays and botanicals to not only bring colour to my designs but also to add skin loving properties. Products are made in small batches with only pure essential oils used to scent. I’ve always liked simple ingredients that are gentle, effective and will nourish skin. After years of making soap, I still get excited cutting soap to see what unique design I have managed to create, that joy will never leave me.

Kes Young has always loved art. After leaving art college, travelling, and starting a family, she never found the time to be artistic. However, she knew she wanted to do something in the arts.   Kes started making and selling mosaics in 2014.  In 2013, she started 'Heart in Art', a business offering art workshops for schools, after-school clubs, festivals, parties and other social events in London. Most of Kes's mosaics are produced at home in her studio but sometimes you will find her creating and making her mosaics at GLOWS.
