Sandra Ferguson has taken up the position as Chief Executive Officer at Tree Shepherd following the departure of Colin Crooks MBE who founded the social enterprise ten years ago.
The announcement that Colin was leaving Tree Shepherd to pursue new interests was made in December last year. Sandra was previously Programme Development Manager and joined Tree Shepherd in April 2018 bringing her experience of delivering services to support charities and government funded agencies.
Since joining the organisation, Sandra has been responsible for leading the work in SE16 area developing Thrive, a low-cost workspace for local residents who are interested in developing new start-ups.
Sandra will continue to develop the work of Tree Shepherd supporting local people to start new enterprises and providing training, office space and advice.
David Brocklebank, Trustee, Tree Shepherd said:
“Sandra was an obvious choice to take on the role and since joining Tree Shepherd three years ago has worked to extend the legacy. She brings innovative ideas, great leadership skills and tenacity that will ensure that Tree Shepherd and the people and communities we support, continue to go from strength to strength.”
